NORTH CANTERBURY RIFLE ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of delegates to the North Canterbury Miniature Rifle Association was held recently at Scargill, The annual report showed that the association had had a very successful season last year, there being a record number of clubs affiliated and a record number of teams entered in the winter tournament competitions. A profit of £3l 17s 6d on the year’s working was shown. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—patron, Mr H. C. Tomlinson (Scargill); president, Mr H. J. Hayward (Kalkoura); vice-president*. Mr* R Reardon (Kalkoura) and Messrs_ A. W. Burnip (Hundalee), R. Burnett (Cheviot). E. W. Langley (Domett), J. M. Gardner (Scargiil), G. Wil'iams (Glenmark), O. E. Foster (Hawarden). J, Crothall (Culvetden), A. Robinson (Rotherham), K. Dunbar (Waiau), and the president o* the Wafkari Club; secretary-treasurer, Mr G. A. Greig (Scargiil); assistant secretary, Mr G. Williams; auditor, Mr M. J. Lawltt (Scargiil); target judges. Messrs H.. C. Tomlinson and J. J. Crossen (Cheviot), tournament committee, Messrs C, McCaskev (Glenmark), T. M. Whittington (Beargill). and J. J. Crossen. It was decided to commence the winter tournament competition* on April 30.
