SOUTH ISLAND HORSES TO MISS MEETING
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON N., April 12. Although there have been no withdrawals to date for the Manawatu Trotting Club’s meeting, there is little likelihood of the South Island teams being present because of the shipping hold-up. About 30 horses are concerned. North island stables, however, have responded well and there will be sufficient horses to provide for three place dividends in each event
