CORSO APPEAL
COLLECTION TO BE HELD TO-MORROW
To carry out the projects which it has planned for 1951, CORSO needs £30,000. A Dominion-wide appeal for funds was launched at the beginning of this month. It is hoped that Christchurch and outlying districts will contribute about £3OOO by a house-to-house collection to be'held to-morrow. In their last house-to-house collection Dunedin, Auckland, and Wellington each raised more than this sum. Bible class members of the Anglican, Baptist, Church of Christ. Congregational, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches, as well as students from various hostels and colleges, will assist in the collection to-morrow throughout the city and suburbs. Collections will be made at the same time in Belfast, Kaiapoi, and Rangiora. CORSO will this year concentrate on relief for India and Pakistan. A large amount of the money raised this month will be spent on milk powder, which is urgently needed for the refugee children of these countries.
