FLYING CONTROL MAY WIN CUP There is now no chance of North Island acceptors running on the first day of the Nelson Jockey Club’s meeting, which will open to-morrow, and these will be scratched by the club. The weather was brilliantly fine in Nelson yesterday and, though the course was waterlogged early in the week, it may be in good order to-morrow. e The double will be on the Nelson Cup and the Tahuna Hack Handicap. Selections are : 10.50 a.m.—First Hack Hurdles: Leeston.
