Enemy Stand At Reservoir (Rec. 1 ajj».) TOKYO. April 11. Allied air and artillery attacks have destroyed the Chinese Communist headquarters town of Chorwon, on the central front, but a fanatical stand at Hwachon reservoir has stalled the Al’ lied drive in that area, front line dispatches reported to-day. Chorwon, 17 miles north of the 38th parallel, was one of the southern an. chors of the enemy’s triangular buildup area in North Korea, from which he had been expected to launch a mighty counter-offensive.
