STUDY ALREADY BEING MADE

The North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society will inform the Christchurch section of the New Zealand Forest and Bird Protection Society of what it is doing to find out what snags eat- This decision was made at a meeting of the council of the society last evening, when Dr. D, McK. Dickson referred to a statement by Professor L. W. McCaskill. Professor McCaskill called far a fan scientific study of the black shag before a start was made on its wholesale extermination. “I get a little tired of people who" think that we are interested only in killing," Mid Ik.
