U.S. Buyers Still Inoperative
(NX. Press Atsoetattow—CoppriphO (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 10. The market at the Sydney wool sales to-day was less hesitant than it was yesterdpy and values for all descriptions of Merino and crossbred showed a firmer trend. Competition Was more widespread, but the usual buyers for America remabied inoperative. , , The offering totalled iu?B bales, of which 10,090 were sold. Top price was 23Sjd tor greasy Merino fleece. valuta were about 15 per cent lower compared with those on March i at the sale in Gouiburn to-day of crossbred and comeback wools, competition was soed, with the Contment predominating. Of 1575 bales catalogued, 1325 bales were sold. Top prices were 238 d for crossbred and 830 d for comeback.
