MEAT LOADED FOR BRITAIN i z NAVAL PARTY TAKES OVER RANNAH (New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, March 12. When airmen from Woodbourne arrived at Picton this morning to load the refrigerated feeder vessel Rannah with frozen meat for Britain, the crew indicated that it was not prepared to take the ship to sea with meat handled by servicemen. The crew shifted the Rannah, which has been held up a month at Picton, from the main wharf to the freezing works and on making its attitude known was paid off. The men were returned to Wellington this afternoon. A nawl crew from Auckland which haa been standing by at Woodbourne, went aboard, and the airmen set abo-it the loading. In the middle of the morning the freezing workers knocked off, leaving only key men to clean up. The Rannah was to sail this evening. Another boat will be worked to-mor-row.
