DR. BEAGLEHOLE' RETURNS FROM CONFERENCE (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March A Dr. Ernest Beaglehole, Professor of Psychology at Victoria University College, Wellington, returned te air today from La Paz Bolivia, where be attended a committee of experts called by the International Labour Office. The conference discussed the problem of native populations in countries where they lived at a much lower standard than the rest of the peoples and acted as a drag on the country as a whole. After the conference ended on January 27, Dr. Beaglehole said he had an opportunity to explore the problem at first hand. He spent several weeks in the Andean highlands district, which takes in parts of Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil Be later went to Jamaica.
