ASHLEY RABBIT BOARD
Sir,—The secretary of the Ashley Rabbit Board (Mr J. M. Finlay), in attributing the success of the Rabbit Board to the gratuitous services of the board members and the co-operatioj) of the ratepayers, might well nave men* tioned that that co-operatiOn was largely due to the tact and common sense displayed by the foreman In hit approach to ratepayers on wnM* properties he and his staff were working. Some credit might also be given to the board, staff, and foreman, who were responsible for the actual work, the success of which was so favourably commented on by the Rabbit Destruction Council ana is apparent to all. Mr Finlay also stated that the foreman was dismissed by the unanimous vote of the board, blit did not state the grounds for the dismissal. Your correspondent, H. T. MethertU, suggests the calling of a meeting of ratepayers. I hope they will agree to this course.—Yours, etc,, A. KENNEDY. Loburn, March 1, 1951.
