U.N. TRUSTEESHIP COUNCIL
ITALY GIVEN SEAT, BUT NO VOTE
(Ree. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK. Feb. 20. The United Nations Trusteeship Council to-night voted to seat Italy at its sessions—without authority to Vote.
Italy is not a member of the United Nations.
Russia has vetoed her membership application several times in the Security Council. However. Italy administers the trusteeshin area of Somaliland for the United Nations so that the council agreed to let her take part in the discussions. Russia abstained from voting.
