FIGHT AGAINST RABBITS

Science is being called in to fight New Zealand’s rabbit pest. In a statement this week, the chairman of the New Zealand Rabbit Destruction Council (Mr G. B. Baker) said that the Department of Agriculture had a toxicologist at Wallaceville Laboratory, who was working on new and improved poisons and fumigants in laboratory and field tests. Rabbit board inspectors and farnjers who felt they could make some contribution toward this research should send their observations to Wallaceville, added Mr Baker.
