K FORCE AT FULL STRENGTH
NO MORE RECRUITS NEEDED NOTICES BEING SENT TO VOLUNTEERS (From Our Oum Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, November No more volunteers /or K Force art being called up for the time being. T*»e Army Department is sending notices to volunteers who have rwt already bee* selected for this force. The notice, 'which is signed by the Minister of Defence (Mr T. L. Macdonald), thinks volunteers and advises them that they have not been selected for enlistment in the force or its immediate reinforcements. •It it possible, however, that some additional personnel may be required during 1951,*’ the notice continues. ’’You will then have a further opportunity if you wish to offer yourself for service. I know this advice will cause you some disappointment, and I wish to add an expression of appreciation* from the Government for the fm® spirit shown by you in so promoHv responding to the appeal for volunteers. A jmall reinforcement battery is an ready attached to K Force. In a statement last month the AdjJt* ant-General (Brigadier W. G. Gentry' said that the sickness rate among tne present force and whether it went inw action would determine what reinforcements wete needed.
