TASMAN AIR SERVICE
LIMITED RIGHT TO CANADIAN LINE
OPERATION EARLY NEXT MONTH
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 6. The right to fly the New ZealandAustralia route, hitherto the monopoly of Tasman Empire Airways flyingboats, has been granted to Canadian Pacific Airlines. The Governments of both countries have agreed to allow the* company to fly the route as part of its Pacific service from Vancouver. It will not be allowed to pick up or put down passengers in New Zealand to and from Australia.
The new service is expected to start on December 2. The route will be Vancouver, Honolulu, Fiji, Auckland. Sydney, and return, every second Friday. Aircraft on the route will be Canadair 4’s.
