RACE SAILED AT LYTTELTON A stiff north-easterly breeze and a heavy sea caused the Canterbury Yacht and Motor Boat Club to cancel all its races on Saturday afternoon with the exception of the X and I class events. There were only three starters in the 14-footer race, Haze, with the advantage of a fourminute handicap, beating the two scratch boats. In the Idle Along class race. Whisper, Graham Manders new boat, off scratch, just managed to beat Paulette over the finishing line, but was placed second on handicap.
