BY-ELECTION IN OXFORD
MAJORITY INCREASE FOR CONSERVATIVES (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON. November 3. The Conservatives increased their majority in Oxford, when Mr H. F. L. Turner at a by-election yesterday polled 27,583 and Mr S. K. Lewis (Laoour) 20.385.
Mr Quinton Hogg, who recently succeeded Viscount Hailsham, had a 3606 majority at the General Election, when there were four candidates.
