There was a strong demand on the seed market during the week for several extremely scarce liner and in some case« orders could not be filled. Most of the better lines have either been disposed oi overseas or ate being held for local consumption. Although there is little overseas inquiry for white clover at present, the seed has been holding its value. The quantity of seed in hand is not large and this wiD hold off any big recession in value. Dogstai! is in extremely strong demand, but supplies are short and there is no likelihood of much recession in value. Montgomery clover remains firm In price, but overseas demands for it have slackened. There is little or no more brown top seed available, and prices remain high. Chewings fescue is on a strong market and fair quantities are still being shipped Oats are scarce.
