Rattle of Britain services
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 37. Services were held in Britain to mark Battle of Britain Day and the battle of Arnhem. . The King and the Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) were represented at the service held in Westminster Abbey, where a great crowd saw a Royal Air Force ensign carried through the West Door to the Sanctuary, past the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Survivors and relatives of those killed at Arnhem gathered at the battlefield for a commemoration service to-day. Presents were given to the local church, which has been rebuilt, by the men of the British Ist Airborne Division.
