WAIHORA GUN CLUB’S SHOOT
Following are the results of a 21-yards championship shoot, held by the Waihora Gun Club at Motukarara on Saturday, for the Johnson Cup. and a trophy presented by W. Quigley, jun.:— Championship Match, of 10 Birds.—S. S. Bennett and S: Inwood shot nine birds, but as Inwood was not eligible to win the championship. Bennett was declared the winner. Five shooters, L. Eden, L. Bennett. T. Gebbie. A. Tomson, and D. Watson, with eight birds, shot off for second trophy. L. Eden won at the fourth round. S. Inwood took first prize money in an optional sweep, held in conjunction with the match. The remainder was divided by L. Bennett. D. Watson, T. Gebbie, and A Tomson.
In a sweepstake held afterwards, four shooters. L. Eden. C. Hight. S. Inwood, and T. Gebbie shot the possible of six birds and divided the sweep.
