WHARENUI CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Wharenui. Amateur Swimming Club:—patron, Mr J L Hay; president, Mr R. K. Milne; senior vice-president, Mr K. H. Barlett; vicepresidents, Messrs F. Jacobson, A. Lang, J. Nyhan; club captain, Mr D. W. Cain; deputy-club captain, Mr E. J. Forsey; women’s club captain. Miss N. Thomas; junior girls’ club captain, Miss J. Sang; Junior boys’ club captain. Mr R. Gibson; delegate to R.L.S.S., Mr O. J. Smith; delegates to Canterbury Centre, Messrs D. W. Cain, E. J. Forsey, and A. Erickson; secretary, Mr O. J. Smith; treasurer, Mr K. Handisides; auditor. Mr V. Consedine: management committee, Messrs C. Handisides, M. Hooper, C. Ayres, A. Barrett, R. Rhodes, and R. Lester; women’s committee, Mesdames Buckett, Menzies, Sang Stokes, and Ayres.
