A COMPOSER’S SUCCESS
TWO AWARDS TO MISS C. I. NEALE The Philip Neill memorial prize for 1950 has been won .by Miss Clare I. Neale, for her composition “Variations on an Original Theme in the Phrygian Mode.” Miss Neale, who is
lecturer in music at Canterbury University College, has since received a prize for her “Rhapsody” in one of the competitions for original compositions conducted by the music committee of the Canterbury Centennial Association.
