PROPOSED MEMORIAL HALL AT CHEVIOT
POLL TO BE HELD ON £20,000 LOAN Modified plans and methods of financing the proposed Cheviot memorial hall were discussed at a public meeting at Cheviot recently. It was reported that the sum of £l3OO had already been contributed voluntarily. It was decided to take a poll of ratepayers in connexion with the raising of a loan of £20.000 for a period of 35 years to finance the project. Plans to incorporate new county
chambers and offices in the building were made.
