TWO NOMINATIONS FOR VACANCY
When nominations closed at noon yesterday for the vacancy on the Canterbury Agricultural College Board of Governors caused by the death of Mr E. A. Sharp, two nominations had been received bv the Returning Officer (Mr H. G. Hunt). Those nominated were: Messrs R. G. Gerard. M.P.. a farmer, of Mount Hutt. Rakaia: and A. J. Smith, a farmer. of Woodham road. Christchurch. Mr Hunt said yesterday that a postal election to fill the vacancy would be held on June 13. with the polls closing at 5 p.m. The result of the election would be known one week later.
