BRITISH SHIP AT SHANGHAI
NATIONALIST BLOCKADE FRUSTRATED (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) HONGKONG. May 29. The British steamer Mausang <3372 tens) arrived at Shanghai from Hong Kong to-day, after running the Chinese Nationalist blockade of the China coast. It is understood that the voyage was without incident. The Mausang was the first ship.to enter Shanghai since the Nationalists withdrew from their blockade base in the Chusan Islands two weeks ago. The Chinese Nationalists have released two British ships which the’r blockade patrols had detained near Amoy and escorted to Formosa. They are the Cloverlock (922 tons), which was intercepted on April 28. and the Sing Hing (565 tons), which was detained on May 1.
