WIN FOR SAM SNEAD (Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK. May 28. Sam Snead to-day won the 15,000dollar Colonial National invitation golf tournament at Fort Worth, Texas, with an aggregate of 277 for 72 holes. On a 7035-yard par 70 course, Snead’s rounds were 66. 72. 66. 73 —277. Skip Alexander, with 280, took second place. Ben Hogan and E. J. Harrison, each with 282, shared third place.
