MR LIE RETURNS TO U.S.

“EUROPE WANTS ONLY PEACE” SPEECH TO U.N. WORKERS AT LAKE SUCCESS _ , NEW YORK, May 25. Europe wanted only peace, said the Secretary-General of the United Nations (Mr Trygve Lie) at Lake Success to-day. He was addressing 3000 members of the United Nations Secretariat who gave him an enthusiastic welcome on his return from Europe. Mr Lie said: “Europeans want ?v aC 4 e “ oo i h tho?e in the Eastern and Western European countries. That is the aim of the United Nations—peace and no more cold war. It will take time. Be patient.
