BRITISH GOLF TOURNAMENT
FIELD REDUCED TO 32 PLAYERS LONDON, May 24. The longest day's play in the' history of the British amateur golf championship reduced the field to 32 at St. Andrews to-day. Nearly 14 hours' play ended at 9.50 p.m., when the street lamps and surrounding buildings were lit up. One of the top favourites, an American, Willie Turnesa. was beaten 3 and 1 by his countryman, Bill Cameron.
