TRACK WORK AT ADDINGTON

GANTREE IN FORM Gantree, which is engaged in the Final Handicap at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington to-mor-row, gave a pleasing display- when he finished in front of Landlight and County Antrim at the end of a mile and a half in 3min 24sec at Addington yesterday morning. Keymaster set the pace in the early stages from Gantree, Landlight, Tekau, Tutta Bella, and County Antrim. The last-named, which gave away starts of up to 24 yards, finished close to Gantree and Landlight after sprinting the last four furlongs ih Imin 2 2-ssec. County Antrim is back to his best form. He must be conceded a chance from the 24 yards mark in the Winter Handicap at Addington tomorrow. The weather was fine, and the track was in good order. The trestles were out, and all work was done about four sulky widths from the rails. Right Royal, Trustee, and Systematic, which are from G. S. Smith's stable, finished in line at the end of a mile and a half in 3min 34 4-ssec, the last half-mile taking Imin 5 4-ssec. Statesman and Native Royal were too good for Grey Streak at the end of two miles in 4min 43sec, the last four furlongs taking Imin 6 3-ssec. Realm Again finished clear of Velvet Brown at the end of two miles in 4min 40sec. Realm Again, which paced freely, sprinted the last half-mile in Imin 6 2-ssec. June Grattan set the pace when working over a mile and a half with Little Sldm in 3min 23 3-ssec, the last four furlongs taking Imin 4sec. Little Slam, which looks well, should soon leave the maiden class. Victory Song and Morano were let off with an easy two miles in 4min 51sec, the last four furlongs in Imin 6sec. A Smart Two-year-old Flagship, one of the favourites for the Juvenile Handicap at Addington to-mor-row. was not allowed to do his best when covering the last mile of his trial with Lindy Lou in 2min Msec. Two Step trotted the last half-mile of his two miles trial in Imin Bspc. Concord trotted boldly when working over two miles with Lady Mavourneen in smin 3sec, the last four furlongs in Imin Bsec. Worked alone by S. A. Edwards, Carisbrook covered two miles in 4min 31 l-ssec, the last half-mile in Imin 6sec.
