FAREWELL TO BISHOP LYONS
CATHOLIC MEN’S LUNCHEON CLUB Members of the Catholic Men’s Luncheon Club at their monthly meeting yesterday said farewell . to the club’s founder, the Most Rev. P. F. Lyons, Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch. An illuminated address was presented to Bishop Lyons, and on behalf of the members a gift was made to him by the president. Mr H. O’Reilly. Mr O’Reilly expressed members’ grateful thanks for the invaluable assistance given by Bishop Lyons to the club, and their very best wishes and the promise of the prayers of all of them for the extremely responsible duties ahdad of him in Sydney.
Bishop Lyons replied and said that the luncheon club would be always one of-his treasured memories.
