POST MORTEM SAW MISSING
HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT VALUED AT £6O
A post-mortem saw valued at approximately £6O and replaceable only from America was sent by the pathological department of the Christchurch Hospital to the hospital’s engineering department recently for repairs. While there it disappeared and the police are now investigating. The theory of hospital officials is that the saw wa.s mistaken for a motor-driven drill, for it resembled a pistol-grip mechanical drill, and could, in fact, be adapted to that purpose. As it is it would be of no use to anyone but a oathologist.
