NEGRO GOES BERSERK IN NEW YORK
FOUR DEAD, FOUR OTHERS STABBED (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 5. A negro killed four men and stabbed four others as he ran berserk through Brooklyn to-day. The negro dashed into a restaurant, grabbed a bread-knife from the counter, and ran back into the street to attack nearly everyone he met. Police had to use gun butts to club him into submission. The police said that the negro had recently been paroled from a mental institution.
Several of the wounded are seriously ill.
