In Qctober the United Kingdom received authority to purchase goods worth 48,500,000 dollars under Marshall Aid. the United States Economic Cooperation Administration Mission announced to-day. This was nearly half of the amount of 109,200,000 dollars allotted to Western European countries. Two of the largest items were cotton <15.200.000 dollars) and meat (12,200.000 dollars).
