BOUT BETWEEN GORDON AND KAPEEN (New Zealand Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 7. Permission to arrange a boxing contest for a purse of up to £750 is to be sought by the Auckland Boxing Association in its matching of Clarrie Gordon, of Otahuhu, and George Kapeen, of Australia, in a welterweight open-air contest. The association will also seek authority from the New Zealand Boxing Council, the controlling body, to divide the proceeds on the basis of 50 per cent, to the boxers and 50 per cent, to the Community Sunshine Association. Kapeen won a disputed decision in the first contest between the two in the Town Hall recently.
