CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER

After a frost of 4.2 degrees the weather tn Christchurch yesterday was fine, with a cool south-west wind. The maximum temperature was 55.9 degrees. The sky was clear at midnight and the temperature was 41.8 degrees, but there was a faint north-west breeze. The barometer, at 29.687 inches (1005.3 millibars), was falling.
