CZECHS CONVICTED OF TREASON ALLEGED PLOT TO OUST GOVERNMENT (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, November 5. The Prague correspondent of the Associated Press says that six Czechs convicted as ringleaders of an alleged armed plot to overthrow the Com-munist-led Government have been hanged. This was officially announced to-day. The Government alleged that the men were “just at the point of executing a well-prepared revolt" when they were caught. Details of the plot were not disclosed until after the defendants had been
tried in secret and sentenced by the Prague State Court The Government said that the men were in league with “a Western imperialist Power." Some of those hanged held prominent positions in Czech public affairs before the Communist assumption of power. They included Josef Charvat, a former chief of security police in Prague, and Jaroslav Borkovec, a prominent lawyer.
