BRITISH LEGION SERVICE
ROYAL FAMILY ATTENDS (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. Their Majesties the King and Queen, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret, all wearing poppy emblems, joined 6000 former servicemen and women of all ranks at the Albert Hall to-night at the British Legion’s annual festival of remembrance to the dead of two wars. The Legion’s 210 blue and gold banners representing 5000 branches were paraded. The men of the three fighting services were cheered, as were the scar-let-coated Chelsea pensioners and merchant navy men. The president of the British Legion (Sir lan Fraser) received Their Majesties.
