VICEREGAL On Saturday their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Freyberg visited Palmerston North where the Governor-General opened the Royal Show. In the evening, their Excellencies, attended by Lieutenant Gordon Tait. R.N., left for Christchurch. Yesterday morning their Excellencies attended divine service at the Christchurch Cathedral. At the Cathedral yesterday afternoon the Gover-nor-General unveiled a memorial to the fallen: Afterwards their Excellencies left for Hanmer Springs and the West Coast.
