SERVICE AT LYTTELTON

A Remembrance Day service was held at the Cenotaph at Lyttelton yesterday morning in heavy rain, 12 persons attending. On behalf of the citizens the Mayor (Mr F. G. Briggs) placed a wreath on the Cenotaph and one was also placed by representatives of the Lyttelton branch of the Returned Services’ Association. A prayer was offered by the Rev. W’. J. Witty and Mr F. Oakley sounded “Last Post.”
