ANNUAL REUNION
ST. MARGARET’S COLLEGE OLD GIRLS Between 70 and 80 women were welcomed by the president (Miss Natalie Vale) at the opening of the annual reunion of the St. Margaret s College Old Girls’ Association on Saturday afternoon. The reunion opened with a tennis match for the Betty Thomas Cup. between teams of present girls and old girls. After an exciting finish the present girls again won the cup by 37 games to 36 The teams were as follows:—present girls: M. Falck, S. Harrison, F. Owen. M. Schields. P. Miller, M. Cameron. A. Bince. S. Hislop. Old girls: Mesdames J. N. Hamilton. Bruce Jameson. Misses G. Napier. H. Vile. B. Burrowes. M. Johnson, P. Tobin, and M. Rimmer. The cup was presented to the captain of the present girls’ team (M. Schields). One hundred old girls attended evensong in the Christchurch Cathedral last evening. The Bishop of Aotearoa (the Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett) preached the sermon.
