A mixed four-ball bogey handicap was played on Saturday by the Christchurch Club for the Wardrop cleek. The five pairs who tied with 4 up were as follows: —E. W. Reeves and Mrs D. B. Reid; G. Turrell and Mrs Turrell; R. T. Barrow and Miss Edmonds; R. S. Beadel and Miss M. Beadel; E. S. Williams and Mrs Williams. . WAITIKIRI CLUB In the Waitikiri Club’s annual captain’s team v. president’s team match, played yesterday, the president’s team won by one match. The president’s team was as follows:—A. Deyell (president), S. Andrews, O. Anderson, R. Faults, G. Connor, and W. Moore. A Stableford bogey, played yesterday afternoon, resulted as follows:—A. Hay (15), 35 points; O. Anderson ' (12), 35 points; S. Anderson (12), 35 points; L. Bentley (12), 34 points; G. E. Deyell (24), 33 points. HAGLEY CLUB The Hagley Golf Club opened its summer season on Saturday afternoon with a four-ball mixed bogey competition. Best scores were as follows:—Mrs T. W. Callander (14) and W. Halligan (15), 5 up; Mrs J. G. Johnston (14) and J. R. Ayers, (11), 4 up; Miss E. Stewart (13) and E. S. Thomson (8), 3 up.' RUSSLEY CLUB The Russley Club opened the summer season on Saturday with Stableford singles competitions. Results:— Senior: W. Eckhart (9), 35 points, 1; E. J. Bradshaw (5), 34; A. B. Cottee (2), 34; C. T. Bullivant (9), 34; W. L. Lawry (7), 34. Junior: H. S. Feast (11), 34; A. Umbers (11), 33. TEMPLETON CLUB A four-ball bogey handicap was the closing-day match of the Templeton Club yesterday for trophies donated by the two vice-presidents. The results were as follows:—O. Seiwood and A. Earl, 3 up; G. McHerron and D. Clifford, 1 up; E. G. Legge and M. Atkinson, 1 down; H. Drummond and M. Pocock, 1 down. HAGLEY LADIES' CLUB Best scores in a Stableford bogey played by the Hagley Ladies’ Club at th'e opening „ of the summer season were as follows: Senior.—Mrs J. G. Johnston (14), 32 points; Mrs W. Latham (14), 31 points. Junior.—Mrs T. Callander (14), 33 points; Mrs W. N. Chilman (18), 31 points. RAWHITI LADIES* CLUB The result of an L.G.U. maftch played yesterday by the Rawhiti Ladies’ Club was a win by Mrs A. P. Hobson, 85, 12— 73. A sealed hole match played in conjunction was won by Miss N. Ryan, 51, 13— In the semi-finals of the Watson Cup, played on Saturday, Miss A. Grennell beat Mrs A. P. Hobson.. TEMPLETON GOLF CLUB Summer Membership.—The Templeton Country Club is accepting summer members for the period November 1, 1949, to March 31, 1950, at a subscription of £2 2s.
