FARMS FOR YOUNG SETTLERS
CROWN LAND TO BE USED AT FIRST (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 26. Labour intended to use land already acquired by the Crown to keep its promise to make property available to young civilian farmers as soon as all former servicemen were suitably placed, said the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) in answer to an inquiry this evening.
He did not know what would happen later on. he said. It might be necessary compulsorily to acquire portions of large estates, but he could not say.
