URANIUM MINES IN SAXONY
SOVIET UNION TO RETAIN CONTROL (Rec. 7 p.m ) BERLIN. October 14. The Soviet-operated uranium mines at Aue. in Saxony, would remain under Soviet control, in spite of the formation of the new East German Government, said the German News Agency to-day. The agency quoted the director of the mines as saying that, although German experts would be appointed to the board of directors, the Potsdam Agreement made it necessary that the mines should remain under Russian control.
