INCREASED PRICES FOR WOOL
COMMENT BY MR G. A. DUNCAN (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 13. Recent reports of increased prices for wool at the London sales were commented on to-day by Mr G. A. Duncan, chairman of the New Zealand Wool Disposal Commission. "The advance following on devaluation of sterling has been rapid," said Mr Duncan, “but. while the market position undoubtedly is strong, it is too soon to say that the recent rates for prompt deliveries from stocks held in the United Kingdom will be maintained at and after the opening of the main New Zealand season sales at the end of November."
