RACIALISM
Sir,—l wish to inform Mr Buttle that all true South Africans are loyal to their country and their government, whether they be living in Ashburton or in South Africa itself. I am not opposed to coloured people possessing arms and modern education. but I only stress that they should be taught how to use these things for the benefit of all peoples and not just for the benefit of their own race. I am certain that our children will receive a priceless investment as a result of the labour policy of Dr. Malan’s Government, as they will be safe for ever more from being liable to massacres. should the natives rebel against European rule as a result of their being taught Marxist doctrines by Communist agents.—Yours, etc., SPRINGBOK.
