LAND SALES ACT
Sir,—l notice in your morning paper the Returned Services’ Association, Auckland, is forwarding recommendations to the Dominion executive for the repeal of the Land Sales Act. We must remember that this act was brought in to protect the soldier; and when the R.S.A. recommends its abolition it is evident that it is not having that effect, but the direct opposite. It is hoped the Government will repeal the act this session and not delay any longer, since, in addition to its having no benefits, it is costing the country hundreds of thousands of pounds every month for administration. From one end of New Zealand to the other, there is general dissention.—Yours, etc.. SOLDIER. October 12. 1949.
