TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
At, the monthly meeting oJ the Christchurch North Townswomen's Guild, Mesdames J. M, Forbes, R. Rimmer and R. C. Smith gave comprehensive reports of the annual meeting of the council of the Dominion Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds held m Wellington. It was reported that Mrs R. Lake bad been re-elected a member of the Dominion executive committee and reappointed editor of the •■Townswoman,” the guild’s official journal. Mrs Hitchens judged the vegetable and flower competitions which were won by Mesdames Fraser and Forbes. It was reported that parcels of soap and sweets for Christmas had been forwarded to a link guild in England. The hostesses were Mesdames Evans, Walker. Radford, and Wright. Donations and gifts for the lepers were received.
