PARLIAMENTARY DAY
(New Zealand Press Association ) WELLINGTON. October 12. Sitting until 1.40 this morning, the House of Representatives completed consideration of the main Estimates. When members reassembled at 2.30 p.m. they went on with bills on the order paper. The War Pensions Amendment Bill, the War Pensions and Allowances (Mercantile Marine Amendment Bill, and the Counties Amendment Bill were put through all stages and passed, and the House then went on with the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill. The House will sit for only a short time on Friday, adjourning as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr M. Ratana, the former Government member for Western Maori. The Legislative Council debated the Military Training Bill to-day.
