CULTURAL CENTRE FOR EUROPE
STRASBOURG ASSEMBLY APPROVES
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. September 6. Reuter's Paris correspondent says that the European Consultative Assembly to-day approved the report of its Cultural and Scientific Committee, which proposes the setting up of a European cultural centre which would arrange co-operation between universities and existing cultural institutions.
It was also decided that a proposal for a European university would be discussed at the next session of the Assembly.
The report recommends that Ministers of Education should be invited to meet soon to dfaw up a European plan for cultural co-operation.
