The wife and two daughters of a former White Russian officer who disappeared from a place two kilometres outside the Soviet zone in Austria, are at present at the Pahiatua camp. A cabled report from Vienna on Saturday stated that Mr Peter Majidashensky, aged 49, the missing man, had intended to follow his wife and family to New Zealand. Mrs Majidashensky said to-day she was certain her husband was dead. She said that he was killed because he managed to get his family safely away from Austria. He was to have followed them at the first opportunity. The report from Austria said that on the night of July 13 neighbours heard shouts and the crashing of furniture from a house at Linz. Shortly afterwards they heard a car drive away.
