TRANSALPINE AIR SERVICE

PERMISSION TO BE SOUGHT BY CORPORATION Permission to operate a round service between Paraparaumu. Nelson. Westport, Jlokitika, Christchurch, and Blenheim will be sought by the National Airways Corporation after the new aerodrome at Hokitika is ready for use, according to Mr H. Worrall, a director of the corporation. Mr Worrall said yesterday that Lodestar or Douglas aircraft would probably be used on the service, and the Air Department would have to be satisfied that the aircraft could be used on the route with safety. Serious consideration would be given the proposal towards the end of the year, said Mr Worrall.
